Celebrating CiB success
Connect Communications is celebrating its best ever showing at the prestigious Communicators in Business (CiB) Scotland Awards.
The communications and publications agency, with offices in Paisley and Edinburgh, walked away with eight awards - and capped a great night by scooping a trio of individual awards for designer of the year, project manager of the year and writer/editor of the year for its people.
At a glittering ceremony for the 2009 awards held in Glasgow's Radisson SAS Hotel on Friday night, Connect and its clients won the category awards for:
• Staff Newsletter for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde - Best Employee Newsletter
• The Key for Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) - Best Stakeholder Newsletter
• Connections for NHS Lothian - Best Employee Newspaper
• Healthlink for NHS Lothian - Best Stakeholder Newspaper
• Unfiltered for Scotch Malt Whisky Society - Best Member Magazine.
CA Mag Online received an excellence certificate in the Best Website/Microsite category.
Connect's Renny Hutchison was named Designer of the Year, Jim Byers scooped the Account/Project Manager of the Year award and Brian Henson took the Writer/Editor of the Year title for his work across many of the firm's publications.
Connect managing director Alan Ramsay said: "It was an exciting evening, and we were delighted to have won so many awards for our clients… and for three of our staff to be judged worthy of individual honours by our industry peers is doubly satisfying."
