Editorial Executive
A former Business Journalist of the Year, Gary Atkinson is a man of many talents. As well as looking after titles for several clients, including the University of Edinburgh, North Ayrshire Council and NHS Lanarkshire, Gary is one of our main sub-editors and a prolific writer to boot. Gary cites the inventor of the humble Post-It Note, Art Fry, as a hero - proving that using simple, uncomplicated ideas can be the best way to communicate.

Senior Editorial Executive and Sub Editor
Senior editor Jim, CiB Scotland's account manager of the year, project manages various titles for Fife Council and Scottish Borders Council among others.
He's particularly proud of Unfiltered, the magazine he edits and manages for The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Jim also keeps himself busy subbing and editing work for Connect's other titles.
In a former life, Jim did a spot of DJing - and was once flown to New York by Kate Moss to DJ at a party. Outside of work, Jim loves food - and takes phenomenal amounts of exercise to cancel out the calories.

Managing Editor
In a former life, Nigel left the Scotsman after 22 years to start up Business am. Every day is a battle against the dark forces of obfuscation, which Nigel considers to be the arch-enemy of great communication.
Nigel quotes Thomas Jefferson, who famously said: "The most valuable of talents is never using two words when one will do."

Account Executive
Chris Fitzgerald, standing at a whopping 6ft 5inches, is our tallest account manager! But it's not a case of telling tall tales when it comes to his copy. Chris was shortlisted for the Sports Writer of the Year in 2007 and more recently has written for a number of specialist trade publications.
Chris joins our growing band of fans of obscure football teams - he regularly travels the M6 to see his beloved Rochdale AFC. These ventures may be curbed somewhat, following the recent birth of his son Ryan.
Chris looks after a number of our clients, including Historic Scotland, as well as writing and subbing across our titles.

Managing Editor
Managing Editor Wendy Fenemore enjoys the variety of Connect's publications - it keeps her on her toes! She oversees the subbing on all our titles, manages various publications and deputises for Alan, our managing director. She is also a member of our operations management team, so you could say she is a busy bee.
She likes plain English and hates corporate speak. A sailor and animal lover in her spare time, she says David Attenborough is her hero - and has her ideal job.

Editorial Executive
Penny Murray's high school physics teacher implored his pupils to "always look for an elegant solution". Penny paid attention and now applies that same principle to her work for Connect, be it writing, sub-editing or drawing pages.
