Senior Designer
Luckily for Senior Designer James Cargill, his working life has
been a blast so far - but the highlight was joining Connect
(obviously…).
He gets involved in everything at Connect - from day-to-day
production to redesigning and developing our current products and
creating pitches.
Outside of work, he's fanatical about food and a keen
triathlete.

Senior Designer
Diamond geezer Mark Davies renovated his first house from a
shell to a modern, beautiful family home.
That dedication also extends to his working life and he produces
consistently great designs for, among others, NHS Connections, Land
Business, BP Catalyst and this very website.
His favourite magazine is Esquire and the website that gets his
vote is guardian.co.uk for its look and
contents.

Designer
Alan Morton is the principal designer for The Journal of the Law Society of Scotland, but he helps out on most other Connect publications. His previous experience includes freelancing for newspapers and magazines in London, and work on the music magazine M8.
Alan ditched city life for his dream home in the countryside in 2006 - and there's no-one who knows more about Doctor Who.

Designer
Every office needs a web monkey and all-round technical support
guy and at Connect that role belongs to Paul McGinnity.
But those talents aren't his only ones… he also does page layout,
tabloid support, advert production and HTML design and
coding.
His proudest work achievement is sending out Connect's first
in-house e-publication, and he recently impressed himself by going
to the gym four times a week for a year.

Designer
Life is too important to be taken seriously, reckons designer
Fiona Wilson, but that doesn't stop her being very good at
following tight briefs and producing magnificent magazines…
Bohemian Fiona was self-employed for eight years before joining
Connect and these days she works regularly on titles such as
TalentScotland, Networker, Inform, NHS24 News and Views,
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Staff Newsletter, Teaching
Scotland, Care News and The Pulse.

Head of Design
CiB Scotland's Designer of the Year Renny Hutchison is the Head of Design, but he's not above rolling his sleeves up and going back to the shop floor of design work if needed.
He looks after all aspects of design in his role within the operations management team.
He went into graphic design to prove to his mum and dad that
there was (gainful employment) life after art school and the
concept of any Connect publication starts with him.
Food, getting fit and then more food are his out-of-work
interests.

Designer
Nothing worth having in this life comes easy, according to
designer Scott Richmond and his insistence on detailed, thorough
work pays off for Connect's clients.
Scott looks after the majority of projects Connect produces for
BAE Systems, and he's also the designer for WM Grant & Sons
newsletter, Spirit.
Scott's a keen amateur photographer so his photos occasionally
turn up in Connect publications - including this website!

Designer
An experienced publications designer, John has worked for the
Scottish Environment Protection Agency, where he designed its
magazine SEPAview, and he has also designed material for Scottish
Natural Heritage.
One of the safest pair of hands around, he has been anchorman on
CA Magazine since 2005 and still finds time to produce websites,
e-campaigns and add value to many of our publications.

Design Manager
Debra Campbell is Connect's Design Manager - and she lives and breathes consistency and quality control. She's incredibly organised, pays a lot of attention to detail and is obsessed with all things Apple.
Debbie's career highlight so far was being part of the winning team at the PPA awards when Connect won awards for the Journal, Glasgow and Standard magazines.
