Brian Henson

Editorial Executive

Brian Henson, recently named CiB Scotland's writer/editor of the year, once wrote the best Toast to the Lassies ever heard at a Burns Supper in Dumbarton. So good communication skills are second nature to him!

The editorial executive writes, edits and proofs for most Connect publications and has years of experience in daily newspapers, radio, publishing and PR.

Brian cites his hero as Robert Burns for his phrasing and humour, and his favourite magazine is Shortlist for its witty articles and perky design.

Richard Croasdale

Editor, CA Online and Editorial Executive

Richard Croasdale (motto: be curious) has joined Connect as editor of CA Magazine online.

He trained and worked as a journalist in London for several financial technology publications before moving to Scotland in 2002 where he became a PR consultant.

Richard is interested in food, photography and exploring Scotland outside of work. At Connect, he's likely to be writing about them as well as his professional interests: financial services, law and technology.

Historical hero is Charles Prestwich Scott, the journo who, at 26, became editor of the Guardian and who famously said: "Comments are free but facts are sacred."

Tim Power

Editorial Executive

Tim Power, as the name suggests, is a man of great wonder - he has even managed to grow artichokes in the southside of Glasgow! Tim writes for several clients, including the Care Commission and Scottish Enterprise.

In between times, there's an adventurer trying to get out - his hero is Errol Flynn and he once drove from New York to San Francisco.

Julia Correia

Editorial Assistant

Julia Correia was fated to join Connect Communications as our new editorial assistant.

Her motto - "What's for you won't go by you" - led her to Mile End after she finished her masters degree in multimedia journalism at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Now she's providing support across Connect's print and online titles, and looking forward to writing copy, and uploading content onto various client websites.

All work and no play makes Julia a dull girl - so she's also enjoying the free meals that comes from her writing reviews for her personal blog - Gastro Glasgow. "Eating out and cooking are my two main passions," she said.
