Innovations to shout about in magazine

Connect is producing a magazine for the University of Edinburgh’s unit that helps commercialise cutting-edge work by academics and students.

Instead of publishing an annual report of achievements, Edinburgh Research and Innovation (ERI), takes a different approach – showcasing the great work of the organisation and the university’s innovators in a magazine format.

We are working with ERI to develop a strategy for the content of the 2015 issue of Infinite magazine, as well as introduce a design that’s in keeping with the innovative nature of the organisation. And our copywriters will also be busy writing captivating features.

“It’s of no surprise that an organisation such as ERI is taking a clever approach to engaging with its audience beyond the traditional annual report,” explained Gary Atkinson, account manager for the magazine. “And it’s great that they have turned to us as an expert in magazine publishing to maximise the potential of the format.”

The 40-page magazine will be available not only in print and distributed around the world, but also online.

Designs will also be crafted for the magazine that can be repurposed for ERI’s social media channels.

Alex Proudfoot, marketing manager for ERI, said: “Connect have introduced great new ideas for this year’s issue of Infinite, so we’re really looking forward to seeing them come to life in print and online.”
