Scotland’s biggest just got bigger

Connect has consolidated its position as Scotland’s leading contract publisher and an emerging force in content marketing with the appointment of a new senior member of staff and with that, the acquisition of a number of new clients.

The Paisley and Edinburgh-based business has appointed Neil Braidwood as Creative and Publishing Manager with effect 1 October.

Neil founded Edinburgh-based CMYK Design in 1999, specialising in contract publishing. With the appointment, the goodwill of CMYK and its clients transfer to Connect.

He’ll be based in Connect’s newly expanded Edinburgh office and report to the Head of Creative and Digital Renny Hutchison and Managing Director Alan Ramsay.

“We’re delighted that Neil is joining Connect and we’re looking forward to having him on our team,” said Alan. “He brings with him an excellent publishing pedigree and his existing clients are a great fit for Connect.”

Prior to CMYK, Neil previously held roles at Redwood Publishing and Scotland on Sunday. Scotland Outdoors, the title owned by CMYK is not part of the transfer but will continue to be published.

Connect employs 30 people at its two offices and publishes magazines on behalf of private, public sector and membership organisations. It also owns its own dental magazines and organises the award-winning Scottish Dental Show.

Neil is Chairman of PPA Scotland and will remain in that role. Alan is its immediate past Chairman and will step down with immediate effect from the PPA Scotland committee, as rules do not permit two members from the same company.
