We’re engaging more across the industry
Connect will enjoy a more prominent role in two key communications bodies in 2018 after two of our team joined their ranks.
Our Head of Client Services Daniel Lambie has become a member of the executive committee of the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) in Scotland. Daniel will help drive its development, adding his 15 years of experience in internal communications to the executive.
Meanwhile, Account Manager Roisin McGroarty will now take his position on the steering committee of Magfest, Scotland’s only festival dedicated to the world of magazines, organised by the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) in Scotland.
The moves reinforce our continuing efforts to play an active role in sustaining and developing the corporate communications industry in Scotland.
For several years, Connect has been a driving force in Magfest, and also provided office bearers for PPA, with our Managing Director Alan Ramsay and Publishing Manager Neil Braidwood both serving as chair of the prestigious body, each for two-year terms.
Alan said: “We have a long track record of being involved with a number of stakeholders at a strategic level.
“It’s part of our culture to work where we can to improve our profession and build a more successful future for everyone.
“Our clients always come first, and those involved usually do these roles in their own time – which in itself illustrates their own dedication.”
