We bring exciting ideas to the party
TechnipFMC, a global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems and services, celebrated its first birthday on 17 January – and we were delighted to be asked to support their global celebrations with a wide range of content, messaging and creative services.
The company was formed on 17 January 2017 from the merger of Paris-based Technip, and Houston-based FMC Technologies. With more than 40,000 employees around the world, TechnipFMC’s corporate communications team in Paris wanted to unite its people in all its locations in one big global celebration.
They enlisted our help to create the campaign to support the event, called Our Day which promoted the message of “One year as one team”.
The scope of our work was diverse, ranging from creating the Our Day icon at the outset of the project to the creation of artwork for a flag. The range of collateral included:
- Email messages from executives
- Fast-paced animation
- Photo frame
- Photocall wall
- PowerPoint presentations
A set of guidelines was also developed to show how the Our Day icon would be used on everything from cupcakes to t-shirts, and how it would be applied in future years.
The icon and materials were designed in such a way that many could be reused in the future, as Our Day celebrations will be held every year on 17 January.
The vast majority of the material was also translated into three languages before it was deployed globally before Christmas to allow communications teams time to arrange cakes and t-shirts, and print posters and banners.
Pascale Dumon-Poiret, TechnipFMC’s Senior Manager Employee Engagement & Corporate Programs, said: “The Our Day celebrations went very well and far beyond our expectations.
“Connect was our partner for the campaign and their work was highly effective throughout. We received excellent support from the team throughout the project.”
Connect Managing Director Alan Ramsay, who was closely involved with the project, said: “We have worked with TechnipFMC on a range of communication and creative projects for a year so it was a real honour to be asked to support their first birthday celebrations.
“It’s always satisfying to see our work come to fruition on a successful project for a client.”
