New recruits Pauline and Liam are welcomed aboard

We’re delighted to welcome another two talented new members to our growing editorial and design teams.

Hugely experienced publishing professional Pauline Burnett has joined the team as an account manager, working from our main office in Paisley.

Boasting a proven track record in magazine publishing, and with vast commercial and design expertise, she will work across the portfolio of magazines we produce for our clients, and have responsibility for specific titles.

Pauline spent many years in London working on national magazines before returning to Scotland to raise her family. She was the youngest ever national magazine editor at the age of 23 and this experience made her the standout candidate from more than 40 applications received for the vacancies we advertised.

Liam Shaw has also joined us as a junior designer and artworker, again working out of our Paisley office as part of our ten-strong design team.

A keen musician and recent graduate of City of Glasgow College, Liam will now work on a range of projects across our portfolio.

Managing Director Alan Ramsay said: “We are delighted to welcome both Pauline and Liam to Connect in our 20th anniversary year. Their arrival means we now have our strongest-ever editorial and design teams.

“With a significant monthly magazine contract to be announced soon, and several other exciting projects coming to fruition in the coming months, we have never been busier.

“It’s good to know we have the right talent to help us keep delivering the engaging solutions that our clients have come to expect over the past two decades.”

James Cargill, Head of Design and Digital, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Liam to the design team.

“He’s already hit the ground running and made a great start, and we look forward to helping him develop and flourish as a valued member of the design department.”

The dual appointment follows the recent arrival of Shona Smith, who joined our award-winning commercial team as a sales manager in February.
