Celebrating girl power with SWI
We are proud of all that we do for our clients and today we are especially proud of what we have achieved for Scottish Women’s Institutes.
Organised by the International Magazine Centre as part of the Edinburgh International Magazine Festival, the event will be held in Waterstones, Princes Street on 16 September from 6 to 8.30 pm and will play host to a variety of talents from the industry – including Pauline’s guest Fiona Gibson.
Aged seventeen, Fiona started working on Jackie before going on to edit magazines such as Just Seventeen and more! Fiona has since written fifteen romantic comedy novels, including the best-selling The Mum Who Got Her Life Back. Holding nothing back, the pair will chat all things triumphs, tribulations and tricky situations!
When asked how thrilled she was to be taking part in the event, Pauline said: “I’m really looking forward to interviewing Fiona and bringing her hilarious stories into the light. She has been a great friend for years so it will be a pleasure to have her share the secrets of her success – as well as some of her not-so-successful moments. It’ll be a hoot.”
We were honoured to have been awarded the SWI contract in May 2019, which includes the publishing of their monthly membership magazine, generating media coverage and boosting their social media presence. Read about it here.
As part of our approach to their communications, Pauline also worked closely with the Daily Record, providing them with an exclusive feature on actress Jane McCarry. Jane plays all-knowing Isa on BBC Scotland’s Still Game and was Women Together’s September cover star to highlight the final Still Game Live shows hitting Glasgow’s Hydro at the end of this month.
