Staying safe and connected
We’re delighted to have helped our friends at SELECT, Scotland’s trade association for electrical contractors, by creating an animation giving advice about staying safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
The short film explains the measures contractors and householders can take to protect themselves against Covid-19 during emergency domestic work.
SELECT chairs the Construction Industry Coronavirus (CICV) Forum, a collaboration of 16 construction trade and professional associations across Scotland. Formed in early March, its aim is for businesses from across the trade to work together to minimise the impact of coronavirus on the industry.
The short film, called In This Together, brings to life the Forum’s advice for working during the outbreak. It demonstrates the operate-at-distance policies outlined as part of a plan to help protect contractors and members of the public while emergency work is carried out in people’s homes.
Anne Vessey, Head of Marketing and Communications at the Electrical Distributors’ Association and Head of the CICV Forum Communications Sub-Group, said: “We want to thank Connect for their incredibly hard work and swift turnaround. In these unprecedented and constantly changing times, it’s more important than ever to get information out there, quickly and effectively, and Connect have helped us achieve that.”
Alan Ramsay, Managing Director of Connect, said: “In this challenging period, it’s becoming more and more important to review and adapt our ways of communication.
“We were incredibly pleased to work with our friends at SELECT on this animation, to help communicate these vital steps that will help keep people safe during this uncertain and unprecedented time.”
