Connect helps Scottish Water to awards success
A digital magazine we produce for one of our clients has been shortlisted in a prestigious awards event.
SW Magazine, the employee publication for Scottish Water, is nominated in two categories in the Institute of Internal Communication’s (IoIC) Awards of Excellence. The magazine has been entered into the categories of ‘Best Magazine’ and ‘Best Story Telling’.
It tells the story of Scottish Water people’s journey through the coronavirus pandemic, and includes video interviews with employees, audio clips and innovative use of pictures and graphics.
We had previously produced the magazine as a highly successful print product, but we encouraged Scottish Water to make the switch to digital as the pandemic changed people’s ways of working, communicating and consuming information.
Kirsteen Murray, Scottish Water’s Internal Communications Team Leader, was delighted with the finished product. She said: “Our Connect account manager and designer provided so much support and creative guidance. They became our ‘extended team’ through the creation of the magazine, and played a key part in the magazine’s success.”
Craig Gibson, our Account Manager for Scottish Water, added: “We’re really pleased to have developed SW Magazine digitally. It really brings their people’s story to life in ways that you can’t always achieve on the printed page and it has environmental benefits, too.
“More and more of our clients are now choosing to go digital and this allows them to share their many fascinating stories in a new and exciting platform.”
