Teaching Scotland has a new digital look!
We are excited to have helped the General Teaching Council for Scotland’s Teaching Scotland magazine, which reaches 70,000 teachers and college lecturers across Scotland, take an ambitious step forward in its digital evolution.
Working closely with GTC Scotland, we have developed a new digital version of the title to make it more relevant to audiences who are increasingly reading their content on digital platforms.
We have been supporting the production of Teaching Scotland magazine for more than 14 years and, early this year, we were delighted to have retained the GTC Scotland contract following a competitive tender, which laid out our plans for developing the magazine on new digital platforms.
Together with key articles from the print magazine, the digital Teaching Scotland features exclusive content, including an interview with award-winning global education author Michael Fullan, who says that as Scottish education faces its most significant reform in over a decade, this is the time for rapid change.
Account Manager Fiona Ramsay says: “Our team has done a tremendous job in bringing the content to life by adding video and eye-catching graphics to make each article stand out. The digital issue allows readers to click on embedded videos and links to find out more and to update their professional learning.
“As part of GTC Scotland’s Strategic Plan, the organisation has been embracing changing digital needs and approaches. Switching to digital also has a positive environmental impact. We are hoping that many registrants will love the digital version and make this their reading preference.”
GTC Scotland Communications Manager Hannah Downie says: “Teaching Scotland magazine allows us to showcase the inspiring world-class teaching professionalism which takes place in schools and colleges every day. The introduction of video and interactive graphics in the digital magazine has allowed us to better promote high-quality professional learning and leadership.”
